Dining Room

The bright and spacious dining room is situated on the ground floor next to the Guest Lounge and again offers superb sea views. Our aim is to provide our guests with good quality home cooked breakfasts and dinners using locally sourced ingredients and organic foods wherever possible.

Here at Morwendon we pride ourselves on the first class breakfast that we offer. Choose from cereals fruit or porridge to start (we are especially proud of our muesli) followed by our quality ‘Full Welsh Breakfast’ or if you prefer a lighter meal try our creamy scrambled free range eggs with smoked salmon on toasted homemade brioche. Our eggs are free range and very fresh and our bacon and sausages have been carefully sourced to ensure high quality at all times.

Our Cafetieres of coffee are made from the finest roasted beans freshly ground when you order; nothing beats the aroma of freshly ground coffee beans.



Using locally sourced produce with meat and eggs from David Jones Butchers in Barmouth our breakfasts are cooked to order.

A full cooked breakfast to set you up for a days exploring can include;

Sausage, Bacon, Black Pudding, Eggs (as you like them), Tomato grilled (or tinned if you prefer), Mushrooms, Baked Beans, Hash Brown, Fried Bread (if you’re feeling naughty), Toast and preserves

If you prefer a lighter Breakfast how about Scrambled Eggs with Smoked Salmon or an Omelette.

There is always a selection of fresh fruit and Yogurt available and cereals. How about trying Granola, Yogurt and fresh fruit.

If you are planning an early start to climb Snowdon or travel further afield, we can provide a “Take out” breakfast with breakfast Muffins, fruit and a flask.

Our evening dinners are equally mouth-watering with local ‘Welsh Black’ steaks and slowly braised Welsh lamb shanks particular favourites. Vegetarians are carefully considered at all meals at Morwendon.

We believe that life really is too short to settle for second best and that simple honest pleasures are the most rewarding. Some things in life need to be taken very seriously, like golf, the making of a good cup of coffee, and the ingredients behind our delicious meals. Simple! But then the best things in life usually are.

Evening meals are available on request. At Morwendon House we are relaxed about our menu and aim to provide good, home cooked local food when in season. So, what do you fancy?

A current guest favourite in the winter is our slow roasted Shoulder of Welsh Lamb, Roasted veg & Potatoes, Seasonal greens with all the trimmings.

Or how about stuffed Chicken Breast wrapped with Prosciutto with a choice of potatoes and vegetables.

To start home made soups are a winter favourite, if you don’t fancy soup we have plenty of choice of starters.

In the Summer months why not enjoy a Platter to share and enjoy the unspoilt views of the Sunset in our garden with a bottle of wine. We offer a range of Platters. Meat, Fish, Welsh cheese combo, all served with pickles, chutneys and includes bread and dips.
